Right pissed off now

So the plodmobile crapped out on me Saturday as you may well know

Had my mates mondingo which I'm well pleased with but it's going to cripple me for next 16months but worth it I guess

So no spare money
But I bought the wiring that burnt out on me which I couldn't really afford
So turns up, I've just plugged in and got feck all
Well say feck all, I can hear pump priming, blower comes on but no ignition lights so no starting

Have you checked the fuses?

Yes checked fuses
Pulled all the 50's out the engine bay one and all the rest you can see visually
Red button down in the engine bay

Hmm dunno mate,
Multimeter might be your friend on this one,

not sure what Fusebox is in yours, check the Main thick cables,

Can you test the ignition switch contacts and check they're all closing when they should?

Feel a right prick now

On Saturday my mate had a mate of his breaking a D9 and I thought it was different but we went and had wiring off it anyway
He changed the connectors so it would fit mine but no joy
Me and my mate Bray both check fuses
Thus I ordered new wiring

I fit new wiring and no luck
Check fuses again

My mate Craig has a look
Takes wiring back out, re fits it and still no lights
He checks fuses and finds one of the 50amp blown
As luck would have it I had a new one
Fits it and lights come on but no starter motor

Figures must of burnt out the starter when it stuck on

My mate out of curiosity fitted the adapted D9 wiring in and the same Si turns out didn't need the new wiring

Towed it and it fired up
Took it home as it was stuck down work

So now need to put starter on to sell complete or to demonstrate engine if breaking

In my defender you wouldn't believe how fine the crack is
I guess you'd say you could hardly see it lol
