cant add trip

hi i bought pp of easydiagnostics a few weeks ago it worked ok but then it stopped so i ununstalled everything to do with it and re installed it now it works perfect for scanning for faults but wont delete them and wont let me add trip computer i bought a new stalk and when i change trip computer from absent to present it says downloading faulty it says the same when i try adding over speed worning but i can make the external tempeture absent and present no bother it just saying downloading faulty for the trip and the speed warning its a d9 406 saloon 2.0 hdi 110 year 2000. im selecting 406r as that is what i think my car is and my vin comes up in 406r but wont come up in 406. any ideas on why i cant add trip?

i had him installed it over teamviewer and it worked but them stopped so i follow his videos on youtube so i said i would ask here first to see if there was something i was forgetting to do and i said if i dont find out i will email him.

jim has installed this over teamviewer for me last night and it now works for clearing faults but still cant add trip or over speed warning it still says downloading faulty for them any ideas of a problem? also how do i find out if i can add cruise control as i saw it as an option i can turn on but not sure if i have the stuff needed for it to work.
