electrics....now i start....now i wont!

had my 04 90hp hdi about 5 mths now
wife had it on the skool run,came home and car wouldnt lock on the fob
i looked at it and the imobbiliser lite was on in the dash along with engine managment light and also the interior heater display and the computer running and the key in my pocket.
Tried to start it,wouldnt go.
opened the lid,gave the wires a shake along the passenger inner guard....away it goes but with fault lights running on the dash.
Didnt take car to work,came home tonight and noticed immobliser light on dash and no key in the car.
again car wouldnt start.
i open the black box behind the battery where all the main electrical wires go to.
disconnect multi plugs and then battery.
jump in car and start it up.usual faults appear on screen(defective abs,defective immobiliser and passenger airbag disarmed)
went to turn car off,and it didnt turn off.able to take key out of car and car will still run.
Confused!!!

check the wiring conectors in the drivers foot well,

is it a saloon or estate ?

have you noticed any water ingress in the car footwells etc?

Might also be a faulty ignition switch.

Dry as a bone in the footwells
the ignition switch on my check list.
my attention seems to be drawn to the loom at the inner panel.
Somebody has been at it before by the look of things with the insulating tape
i could be barking up the wrong tree though
car is a saloon hdi S,90 brake,2004
