Could be in the wrong section or not, not sure..............
Quite simply.... I changed my stereo for an after market Sony one. Now I know that I will/have lost the display out on the Multifunction Display, but what I cant figure out is why it is not illuminating (the MFD that is). It was working fine, and change stereo and its gone dim as me?!??!?! I have been a scrappy and found another one, swapped all the bulbs, no joy, swapped the MFD still no joy. Have I messed something up swapping the stereos?

Does it light up if you unplug the radio,
If so you might have the wrong iso lead or be wired up wrong,
If you put the handbrake on does it show on the MFD

I have looked at it with the radio unplugged, this shall be checked tonight!lozz wrote:Does it light up if you unplug the radio,

So does this mean the the MFD lighting up is linked to the stereo then?

I swapped it over and put the old standard stereo in, and the MFD didnt light up, so I can only assume that the bulbs have gone, or I have mucked up and a pulled a wire out somewhere.lozz wrote:Does it light up if you unplug the radio,

Am getting confused though now.....
My stereo wont keep its settings at all, all radio stations etc are lost when I turn the car off and back on, and this morning I got "Economy Mode Active" in the MFD display........ Got a sinking feeling that pound notes are going to be going down the pan :-(

New light bulbs in the MFD

Stereo sorted too! The feed off the Sony Stereo loom was trying to pick up a permamnet live from the steering wheel controls, so swapped them over and happy days!!!!
