glow plug relay ?

Hi all....., am after a lil' help and guidance....., i've a 2.1xud diesel and have got trouble with my glow plugs coming on ......., had a bit of trouble last week were the plugs weren't coming on with the ignition but a couple of on/offs with the key and they kicked in and also started getting the glow plug light coming on now and again for a few secs while driving but now i've getting nothing, My initial thought was the relay was gone and was just after help locating it but after reading a couple of posts am wondering if the troubles elsewhere and if it could be the ambient temp sensor ?......., anyone with more xud knowledge point me in the right direction please ?

Not that I can help much but I don't think the glow plugs can come on once the engine is running Dunno for sure but I'd look at the relay first in case it's falling apart.

not sure if the plugs were actually coming on while i was driving but the dash light was now and again, just for a few seconds or so......., am guessing from what i've read that the relay and the control unit are one and the same ?

thanks for the advice...., am sorted now....., it was the relay/control unit
