Help - Folding Mirros and windows will not work

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Help - Folding Mirros and windows will not work

Post by jayjg »

Hi

I had a issue with my mirros, when ever I started the car, one mirror would fold automaticlly, after a while this stopped, now both of the mirrors will not move or fold.

Alos now I can not put my windows up or down, would theer be a fuse to these components, or would it be something else?

any help would be appreciated

many thanks

It is more than likely to be the switch as they can wear out. Try a new switch - one without the white spot is necessary - and see if that works.

One with a white spot will be around £35 on ebay or trawl the local scrapyards...

Yes it could be a fuse but as it seems to have been a gradual thing maybe water has got in the window switch or something.

Check the fuse first, then switch, then harness between door and body for stretch marks....
