Sat Nav Removal/New Head Unit

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Sat Nav Removal/New Head Unit

Post by bigjohn333 »

Hi there,

The Sat Nav MFD in my car is shot as with most of them, lines all over and a crack in it. I tried the sat nav and even with the synth volume on max it doesn't talk it just mutes the radio and nothing.

Obviously with the dawn of smartphones I won't use the integrated function.

Can I therefore replace the Siemens screen with a standard Sagem one, disable GPS in the BSI and fit a nice stereo in place of the clarion headunit?

Best Regards

Just switch the screens, plug and play, no BSI fiddling required.
