Key turns in lock but doesnt open the door

Like I say Steve, I would use the guy again, and would recommend other Peugeot users to do so, and no, I have no connection with them.

It would have cost me more in the bits alone, and then the time to fix it, so it was a no brainer really.

I am thiking on using this guy does this sound the same?

Rubber buttons have gone the car unlocks with the key and starts fine with it but for the life of me cant get it to sync

I have the same problem with my key spinning in the lock barrel most the time. I've various lubricants but it doesn't do much in the long run.

Then I tried my seldom-used spare key (non-remote) and it works great in all the locks! So I suspect the real problem here is that the main key is worn, but the locks are actually fine.

I've just sent the guy Quinny mentioned an email asking whether he can provide complete keys with blank blade, transponder and remote gubbins as I only have 1.

I'll let you all know what he says but remember you'll need planet to code a replacement and get the blank blade cut locally.

Excellent thread. I have the same problem with the locks spinning - I've used silicone spray and resolved that, thanks for the tip!
The remote stopped working I've tried 2 or 3 resyncing methods but nothing works, also changed the battery in the unit.
Once repaired by the ebay guy, do you have to re-sync?

I didn't have to re-sync mine. It worked straight out of the package.
