Central locking question
I have a 2002 406 hdi that the central locking has never worked on in my time of ownership. Does the usual lock then unlock straight away! Tried to fix it door lock modules the lot. Anyway not too bothered about it now just leave it open. I was wondering though is there a fuse for the central locking I can remove and this will allow me to lock each door manually? If so could anyone tell me which fuse it is? Cheers

Re: Central locking question
Fuse 'A' on the outside of the BSI will disable the central locking, as it removes power from double relay R2-2 which controls all 5 lock motors.
Trouble is, it will also remove power from relay R3 and I don't know what, (if anything), that does. Anybody else know?
(FWIW, R3 does not control either the sunroof or close all the windows, but interestingly R4-2 does. Maybe we've got all the full-closure hardware/wiring after all)?

And today's guessed RPO is 9200...
Looks like fuse A - relay 3 also does deadlocking. Where fitted...

Re: Central locking question
Pulled fuse A and I'm pleased to say it has worked perfectly
can't believe I didn't think of this earlier! Took it a drive and all the other essential electrics still work so it's all good. Thanks a lot for the replies and pic much appreciated!
P.S What does this mean?

Re: Central locking question
Build code/RPO/DAM - it's basically the day your car trundled off the end of the production line. Yours Is on the driver's door A-post, along with the paint code, tyre pressures etc. Thios is mine viewtopic.php?f=18&t=19141&hilit=+obsidian#p196775 If I don't have them I have to guess (hence the guessed/guest thing), they can make a whole load of difference when looking up wiring diagrams (e.g. there are 5 cooling fan set ups across D9 production) but I think for central locking there's only 2 and that's pretty much covered by the semi/full-mux RPO 9001 thing in July 2001, so as yours was registered in 2002 we're pretty sure it's going to be full-mux. Which it is, obviously
