Car was running fine untill I put some derv in and would not fire after, decided to plug it in as I have a Bluetooth jobby for my phone and had an error code P0904 (gate select position circuit) lots of googling came up with stuff about flappy paddle gearboxes but as soon as it was cleared engine fired up as normal once I got some electricity.
Its a 2000 (W) hdi90 manual

I'm afraid I think that code means the code reader is rubbish. Still, at least it cleared it and the car didn't blow up...

Code reader is a cheap ebay Bluetooth one, and obd doctor pro for windows phone. Pp2000 is on my list of things to get for this car if i can find some inner and outer sills first
