Found this in my boot, what is it?

I was swapping a brake light bulb when I found this behind the boot liner on the left wall of the boot. Anyone know what it's for? It was disconnected when I found it, the male part of the connector looks a bit like a tv cable. As an aside, my heated rear window doesn't work, could this be why? Don't want to connect it up and blow something up in the car so I'd like to avoid connecting it till I know what it does!

It looks like coax so I would think it would be something radio or computer related. Connection for satnav disc drive? PMR? Radio aerial?
