Window and sunroof closure

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Window and sunroof closure

Post by MixMan »

Ran a session of pp2000 on my car (2002 406 2.2 Hdi - Full Mux) yesterday and in the options I found a closure option for auto closing windows and sunroof on deadlocking, I changed the setting and saved it and pp2000 seemed to change the settings by talking to the ECU. But as you can imagine, it didn't work.
Anyone have any ideas if this is actually available to do on my car, or is it just in there as a generic part of the list?

Unfortunately it's not supported.
It's quite common to see features in the software that aren't available in the hardware :(

For this to work each window must have the feature where you pull the button once and the window closes fully, but only the driver's window has this.

Current: 407 2.2 HDi 170 & C6 2.7 HDi.
Former: 406 1.9 TD; 406 HDi 90; 407 2.2 160; 307cc 180; 508 HDi 140.

It works on the coupes, not the others because, as rwb says, you need the one you need one touch on all 4 windows.

It's a shame, its a nice feature to have. Had it on some previous cars.

I wonder how hard it would be to retro-fit the required parts....

Knowing the electrics on a Peugeot....Next to impossible...

Ahh well......it was a nice idea....

I have found I have three modes on my windows. Full close or open, stop where I want, or moving in about 5cm increments. They are changed by holding the switch down when fully open until there is a distinct click from a mechanism inside the door. I have checked all doors and they all do this. Maybe worth a try?
