12v in the boot
How easy would it be to get a 12volt feed into the boot to run my cool box? Do I go straight to the battery? and are there kits out there to do it?

Re: 12v in the boot
I think there's a prepared supply for caravan power somewhere, just needing a fuse fitting.
Maybe one of the caravanners can help?

I can't speak for all varients but there is a supply fed from fuse 15 in the interior fusebox. On mine it goes to the n/s light cluster multiplug but its just a dead end it doesnt feed anything there. So just snip it off and there you go. The wire colour is red and it is markedly thicker than the others. You will probably have to pop a fuse in as it wont be there from the factory. The cable should be good for a 20a supply.

Hey
Take a look at this thread: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=22552
There's supposed to be a large red wire on the nearside rear light cluster. All you need to do is to pop a fuse in F15 in the fuse box according to dirtydirtydiesel

Re: 12v in the boot
So, how would you use this wire to create a secondary lighter socket in the rear, maybe one in the rear ashtray or on the side by the rear belts like our Picasso?

Kelv,
you can buy a kit for less than a fiver from most car acessory shops, quite easy to drill a hole & solder a wire
