Service indicator

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Service indicator

Post by hugh »

Hi folks,

So I'm hoping to give the car a thorough service when I get paid. I guess I'll want to reset the service indicator. I've been looking at those OBD2 diagnostic gizmos on eBay but it doesn't look like they'll do the trick? Do I need something else? If it's expensive might have to give it some thought as it's not my car.

Regards

Hugh

You don't need no gizmo's to reset the service indicator.
just press and hold the Trip reset button..and then turn the ignition on.

the service indicator shouid countdown-or reset then. iirc.

Yes, push and hold in the 000 on the dash - put key in ignition and there will be a countdown from 10 - 0.

Job done.

There are people on eBay that charge 99p to tell you that..
