Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

P0571 fault code

Post by Ady1985 »

Retro fitted cruise control to my 2000 406 estate, all switches were there, made my own master switch, done all multi meter checks, all fine, all switches replaced with new on pedals, stalk fitted and checked and functioning correctly, activated cruise control through pp2000, all is well barring the p0571 fault code, checked everything and all looks well, brake lights working, just cruise control switch permanently active.l so cruise control wont work. Where do I start for repairs?

No, stalk is there, the master switch next to the obd port, made my own, all works well, tried everything, pp2000 saying cruise control switch (on brake pedal) is permanently active, so the fault lies somewhere around pedals

Try disconnecting it and then try shorting it? I don't know if it's the same on a semi-mux but mine read active when I'd put the wire in the wrong hole so it was permanently open circuit.
