The cooling fan motor on my 2.2 HDi is completely u/s. Does anyone know where to get a replacement?
I opened it up and the circuit board has lost a couple of its brush mounts and is past the point of repair.

Re: Engine cooling fan motor
I had the same issue a couple of years ago. The original issue was the aircon that stopped working during town driving (slow, many stops), but started working again when driving on a highway (continuous speed).
I replaced the whole fan unit, including the motor and its electronics, OEM part number is 1253E4:
It looks like still available, e.g. at https://www.besteonderdelen.nl/suche.ht ... ord=1253E4 or https://www.onlinecarparts.co.uk/spares ... ord=1253E4 or https://www.pkwteile.de/oen/1253e4 or https://www.pkwteile.de/ridex/8058898. The latter seems a very nice price!
Or just Google for "1253E4".

Re: Engine cooling fan motor
When I search using 1253E4 it seems to bring up a more basic looking fan assembly that doesn't include the ecu (that's failed on mine) is that right?

You're right, the links I gave seem to point to the simple fans, not the ones with the electronic regulator unit.
I guess this is the one you would be looking for: https://www.ebay.com/itm/184056741418 . It has two sets of connectors: one for the main power and the other for the regulating.
