Trip Computer

Hi All

Another quick question. Since owning my 2001 406 2.0 HDi L the trip computer has never displayed anything other than zero's as you cycle through the different info with the button on the end of the stalk.

Having removed the multoi function display to replace a bulb I noticed a grey connector taped to the black connector that is pligged into the back of the multifunction and I began to wonder whether in fact my har has a trip computer and wondered what the grey connector was for as there is nowhere on the m.funtion to plug it into.
