Fitting a Towbar - Wiring Help Needed
Hi, I'm trying to wire up my towbar, but I need a wiring diagram so that I can make the right connections. Does anybody know the connections or where I can find a diagram. Please

I've fitted quite a few tow bars on various cars.
My way (not necissarely the right way!) is to take one rear light cluster out and have an assistant run through all of the functions. As the light illuminates follow the bulb wire back to identify the colour or code on it.
When connecting into the wire use the t tap crimps (Blue crimps with a sliding gate). You do not have to strip back the insulation with these crimps.
If you need help identifying the pin functions on the tow hitch visit http//rswww.com and search for tow socket. I think there is a pdf attatched to one of the pages of the schematic for the tow socket.
As long as you take your time and write every thing down, this job is easy.
Good luck

Thanks Diesel Wiesel, this was the method I ended up using. Unbelievably Peugeot use more than one cable of the same colour in looms to the light clusters. So nn two occasions I had a 50/50 choice and ended up actually cutting the wires (with the lights on) so that I could identify the correct cable.
Thanks
