Cruise Control

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Cruise Control

Post by steve_earwig »

Hi folks, me again snooping 'round other forums. I've just been on the Lemon Ownah's Klub for the See5 - guess what, they hate Pugs! I must admit I had a giggle at some common problems -oh dear, another estate rear door glass stuck, all you need is some wire, a soldering iron, duck tape (or 400 quid for a new window  ). Also, parked See5's doing a little dance as the suspension goes quietly insane.

Anyway, someone mentioned cruise control, I had a little search on here but didn't find anything but looking at the "other" forum it seems I need all sorts of solenoids, switches, relays, etc. etc. and a major reprogramming session with everyone's favourite black box. All in all, it looks like a complete pain in the tailpipe but then I remembered that my dad had a Mazduh with a bolt on goodie cruise control, this was centuries ago so we can't remember who made it, but the old geeza still remenisces about it.

Anyone any experience of either retro-fitting OE or a decent (yet inexpensive) aftermarket cruise control?

Cheers :cheesy:

Cheers James, just the ticket! All I need now is to save up some cash... I presume these keep appearing so I've no need to panic. I notice that, as usual, the guy only mails to the EU  so I'd have to have it posted on. Shame my brother's coming today...

I see the other one he does, the 400, is cheaper if you buy it in German...
