Front Fogs

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Front Fogs

Post by Toby »

How do I change the bulbs in the front fog lights? Managed to get the wiring connector (if the blue one is the right one) off but can't release the bulb.

Cheers

haynes manual should tel you what to do

*runs off to get it*

(from wiring connector)
Quote: Disconnect the wiring connector then release the retaining clip and remove the rear cover assembly from the fog light

disengage the spring clip and tilt the reflector assembly away from the cover

disconnect the wiring connector then unhook the bulb retaining clip and remove the bulb

it does also say not to touch the bulb with your bare hands as it will blow quicker

hope that this helps

Thanks. I love the way Haynes manuals are so useful lol. Its awkward to get at so I can't actually see anything and am going by touch. So there is a spring clip somewhere that releases everything so I can drop it out from underneath yer?

apparently yes there is a spring clip. having not looked myself im gonna have to take the manuals word for it.
it does advise that you park it on sum ramps, or axle stands. then work underneath it.
i advise a head torch 2, holdin a torch in ur mouth tends to lead to whatever is under the car landin in ur mouth
