Replacing Tailgate Bulb on a 'family' estate
Has anyone managed to change a tailgate bulb on an estate? I need to replace a bulb on my '02 LX - the bulb in the tailgate, not on the car body. There's no obvious way to get the lighting cluster out from the edge of the boot lid, and there doesn't seem to be a flap cut in the trim. Do I need to remove the entire trim panel - this seems a faff as it has an integral sunblind? Any advice please...?

Yep, you'll need to pull the trim off. Not all of it mind, just a few studs should be enough. When you have the light cluster off (couple of nuts hold it on iirc), make sure you clean it and the bodywork well, especially around the rubber seal, otherwise you'll end up with a rusty connector
