I only really thought about this this morning as it was pretty foggy but not dark so I just wanted to have the rear fogs on with the headlights but of course you have to have the front fogs on too because of the switching so you end up looking like one of those drivers who everyone hates and the light from the front fogs does absolutely nothing except annoy others.
Bit of a bad idea of Peugeot I think
Cars in my care:
2021 Kia Spottage 1.6 Pez Turbo Dual Clutch Gearbox Trickery
2013 Renner Twingo - donkey work
I think the idea is if you don't need the ones at the front then you shouldn't be using the ones at the back but if you're worried about some blind tw@ steaming into the back of you then stick all of 'em on and f*ck what anyone else thinks. Besides, for me the only ones who look like knobs are the ones driving around with their foglights on when it's not actually foggy.
I use my front fogs all the time, makes me look cool and get the girlies.

I wouldn't agree with that 100%. You still need to properly see who's behind you and a lot of normal headlights are far too weak.
Headlights don't illuminate behind you!
Front foglamps are angled fairly sharply down and outwards so they only really illuminate the sides of the road for a short distance in front of you. If you need fogs to see where you're going anywhere other than a country lane, you should be parked up!
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

Good point. I'd still stick the lot on and stuff what anyone else thinks. You never sat at the traffic lights and noticed the guy in the car next to you is raking out his nose? I'm sure he cares what you think!
Correct me if i'm wrong (and i'm sure you will ) but years ago fog lights were yellow
so as not to be reflected of the fog so easily then followed by having a opaque lens
or heavily ribbed lens fitted to disperse the light ??? surely todays clear slightly disperesed
lights are driving lights not fog lights
