Hi again all,
This is gonna be a dumb question me finks but I gotta ask....
My rear passenger side foglight wasn't working, so during my lunchbreak today I thought I'd have a quick look.
I get into it easy enough and guess what.... No bulb there.....
So I try both of the spares I keep in the boot...
None of these light up either. Even after removing the plugs off the back and refitting them and generally having a good fiddle around with the bulbs and holder.
My question is..... Are both rear foglights wired in on all models of the 406 to work. The other side is fine.....
I ask this because I found no bulb there to start with and the car doesn't look like its been tampered with much at all.
Any ideas....
Cheers guys

Re: Rear Fogs
Only the drivers side is wide by default. Its possible to wire the other one in, there been a few threads on it. I think how hard/easy it is depends on d8/d9 and saloon/estate.
If you have a search you should be able to find a few threads on it and how to get the second one working if you want it to.

Pretty sure I remember that the estates (d8 and d9) are wired up but the bulb won't fit in without cutting the trim back. As for saloons I have no idea.
Have you tried a search on the forum?

Re: Rear Fogs
I think the majority of cars only have one rear fog connected because they could be mistaken for brake lights with both lit. Just a thought!

Cheers guys....
If the car is only supposed to run one foglight then thats fine by me...
I just thought I had a faulty one thats all and a car this size would have two working units.
Never mind.
Thanks again for the prompt replies.

Re: Rear Fogs
By law it only needs to have one rear fog, and if it isn't in the centre it needs to be on the driver's side. The lack of symmetry was annoying me so I pulled the bulb holder out of the near side lens and tried a bulb in it, and it worked
. Only problem was that the hole in the back of the lens wouldnt take the bulb.... so I dremmeled that
.

They're nearly as well used as the "puggy under pug" montage
