air bags lights again!!!
need to sort the age old problem of the underseat wiring cos my dash is flashing like a council house at christmas whats the best method do i jst chop the connectors out and solder the wires than heatshrink or what?

no indicator is fine its already had a replacement its the pesky wires under the passenger seat cos it puts the light on when you move the seat

My "cure" has been working for about 4 weeks now even with much seat moving.
I just unplugged the red connector and bent *slightly* the contact pins inside (using something plastic just incase) and reconnected! this makes a tighter connection and it worked for me.

yeah done that too had the connectors apart ant tightened the pins then cable tied the connectors back together but it came back thats why i think i need to cut the connectors and solder the wires properly

Had the same problem with my previous Citreon. Got by for a year or two by fiddling everytime they were disturbed, eventually they stayed faulty. I cut the individual wires as close to connectors as possible, fitted bootlace ferrules and rejoined them using small screw terminal blocks. Avoids the hassle of soldering iron in confined space, melting insulation you can't see too well in there and other 'collateral damage'. Also means you can disconnect them easily if necessary. No problems in the following 2 years.
