Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

My "cure" has been working for about 4 weeks now even with much seat moving.

I just unplugged the red connector and bent *slightly* the contact pins inside (using something plastic just incase) and reconnected! this makes a tighter connection and it worked for me.

Had the same problem with my previous Citreon. Got by for a year or two by fiddling everytime they were disturbed, eventually they stayed faulty. I cut the individual wires as close to connectors as possible, fitted bootlace ferrules and rejoined them using small screw terminal blocks. Avoids the hassle of soldering iron in confined space, melting insulation you can't see too well in there and other 'collateral damage'. Also means you can disconnect them easily if necessary. No problems in the following 2 years.

Hope this helps.
