Death of a Battery!!

Post by skylinemv »

Well it looks like my 9 year old battery finally died.

Got back to Manchester airport long stay at 10:30pm last Friday and guess what nothing. 30 minutes later the AA jump started it and told me all was well.

Next morning dead as a dodo :(

Got on to totalbatteries.co.uk and here I am today £66 lighter with a 575A battery and a Pug working :)

Delivered in 2 days for an extra £3. Halfords wanted £99 for a lower amp battery :(

Batteries used to run-down over a few weeks until you finally replaced it but these days they just die! usally a cell goes down and takes the whole battery with it

That's a good price as batteries are blinking expensive now.

You are so right they seem to be instant death with very little warning.

I would recommend the battery site I used, had it recommended to me for my other car a grey import. They ream you for batteries in the UK but that web site offers an asian equivalent at nearly half the price.
