Internal Blower Air con Failure 1.9td 97

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Internal Blower Air con Failure 1.9td 97

Post by Huw »

I have lost complete power to blower and aircon ecu. I have spent a couple of days investigating to come to one question. Where is the relay which powers this circuit. Non of the relays behind the fuse box are linked and there seems to be no other relays on the car. There is no power going to the fuse, and no power feeding the blower unit.

Any Ideas as I am now a little stuck and hot!

Many Thanks

H

Most probably the ignition barrel has failed, not supplying power to the fan etc. My local dealer did mine years ago for about £35 I think.

I understood the problem here was with the electrical spade connectors at the fan motor itself (they go manky and burnt).

Nah from the guy's description the whole climate control unit is dead (ie no lcd display) and there's no power to the fuse terminals which there would be if it were just a dead fan
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
