Hi,
this morning my neighbour rang the door and told me that the hazard warning lights at my car were on. As I hadn't used the car for two days I went down to check it out.
It seems the car wasn't locked. When I tried to lock it it locked, but also immediately unlocked the car again. There was no way to permanently lock the car, except for doing it manually.
I then tried to start the car to see if the battery was drained. Car started fine, but I got loads of Error Messages within a minute "ABS Fault", "Brake Fluid Level Low", "Fuel Cap not fitted properly", "Fuel Flap open", " Brake Fault" etc...
I then drove for a few minutes to see if it would go away, but it permanently told me that the Handbrake was on, which was not the case.
Does anyone have an Idea what might be wrong? Or any recommendation on how to best approach this?
Regards,
dsab

Eek! You could try disconnecting the battery for an hour, if not have a look at this.

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
