Air Con Wiring Diagram

Hi all,

Does anyone have an electrical diagram for the air con system and a pin out for the climate control panel? My display shows A/C but the compressor doesn't seem to kick in so I want to trace electrical signals!

I suggest picking up a copy of the the Haynes manual...

Which doesn't have any diagrams for the air con...

First try looking for leaks on condensor ,pipes , pressure switch on condensor,
look for green stains, may just need a re-gas

I tried a regas, but it just blew it back at me, the pressure seemed fine, but without the compressor running its difficult to gauge. My original thought was stick some gas in and see if that kicked it into life but the compressor still doesn't engage. Thats why I'm after a wiring diagram so I can chase the electrics side. Are the climat control units a known dodgy area or is it likely to be the BSI at fault??

If the pressure switch is knackered it wont engage ,if the relay things at the
front of the radiator are knackered it wont engage ,this is on a D9 by the way.

So do I. The compressor won't kick in until the leak is stopped. Theres this new rubber and metal 'filler' for aircons just brought out in halfrauds

I'm not an electrician nor an aircon specialist, but I looked at my Autodata listings for you....

Air Con Electronic Control Module Pin 47 input signal.

Air Con Control Module pin 84 switched earth engine idling 11-14v.

Air Con Control Module pin 84 switched earth ignition on 0.1v.

Aircon Refrigerant Triple Pressure Switch pin 78 input signal.

I don't know if any of that info is useful or not, but that's what's listed on Autodata for engine management / Air Con.

When I first looked through Autodata for Bogbreath, I only found engine management data, everthing to do with Aircon wiring was greyed out, however, being bored, I trawled through Autodata and realised that if I set it for 406, all years, 2.2 engine ( I know yours may not be 2.2), but 2.2 is the only listing for complete wiring diagrams for the aircon system.

I would post the diagrams, but there is a lot of info that needs scrolling through, so, very difficult to transfer it to the forum, if there is a specific item, I could maybe post it, i'm not very good at doing that I might add.

If I were you, I would call in at a local garage and ask nicely if they have an Autodata book, or Autodata on their computer, then ask if they would print out the diagrams for you.

I knew the info had to be there somewhere, Autodata has tons of info for the likes of me that need it daily, that's why it costs an arm and a leg.

Remember, the wiring diagrams for Aircon are only visible using all years, Peugeot 406, 2.2 engine.

My version of Autodata isn't the very latest, so maybe the latest gives the info for all engines, I can't see it making any difference to be honest.
