twin cooling fans

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Warm up the engine then pull the plug off the coolant temperature sensor. With the ignition on, the fans should run at max speed. If the dashboard temp display drops to zero you've pulled the wrong coolant temperature. If one fan fires up then you've got a dodgy fan or relay, and that will prevent any operation on either fan at low speed.

i think it must be a faulty fan motor because i can get the fans to work. when i disconect the wireing plug from the loom i can hear the relays chattering.

last check then's to find the power connectors for the fans and check for the all important 12v :)
