Temperature sensor

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Temperature sensor

Post by bangernom1cs »

HI,

I had a thumb through my friendly local factors 'Intermotor' catalogue this afternoon.
The dreaded green HDi temperature sensor is now available so you dont need to pay a main dealer again.
PN 55148 priced around £11 & vat.
They also list;
Clutch switch.
Brake switch.
2 x codes for the gearbox reverse switch

I also checked the Abs sensor catalogue by TRW and found no parts yet listed for 405/6 models.

Ok,
Came to do this job and it would appear to be a part which may be wrongly listed by Intermotor.
Or there may be other versions on HDi models.

So off I went to the local dealer and got the correct one.
On mine its the lower of the two which is held in by a sliding clip
The top is the Intermotor supplied which was oddly enough ..dearer than the dealer.
Same electrical plug fitting but thats all!!

£8.37 at eurocarparts
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
