Re: glovebox shroud
Are you trying to remove the heater motor (fan)? If so, the motor comes out from underneath the glovebox by undoing the screws that hold it onto the heater assembly. No need to remove the glovebox.
Re: glovebox shroud
thanks for the reply Jasper but I have already took the heater motor out .The irritating noise is higher up something to do with the ac I believe I read somewhere it can be accessed from underneath without dismantling the dashboard if no one can point me in the right direction Imay have to resort to a padsaw or crowbar

Re: glovebox shroud
There's one more screw that's virtually impossible to undo, it's on the shroud's right and side (centre console side), over 3/4 of the way down.
It's possible to break the plastic shroud where the screw is mounted. To re-fit, drill a small hole through the front of the shroud, a bit higher than where the screw used to be and fit the 'nut' on the console (rather than the 'nut' being on the shroud, you reverse it), the screw can then be accessed from the front and the glovebox will hide the screw hole anyway.
If you take it off, all of this will make much more sense.
HTH.

Re: glovebox shroud
Update on taking out glovebox shroud could not find any more accessible fixing so asked a neighbour who used to have a 406 he told me there are two screws on the right hand side of the shroud that cannot be seen and are inaccesible from the front or the back and to just yank out carefully lol this was achieved and the ac regulator motor unplugged will source a secondhand one but at least that annoying buzzing has gone ps the heater is not affected....Rob
