removing the front seats

Post by mark1690 »

hey all

my 406 was geting abit on the grubby side traveling to and from work in it, so i was going to remove the front seats to give it a good valeting but noticed there were 6 wires connecting into each seat,so was just wondering what they were for before taking them out ?

and also ive realised how rubbish the satnav is in it,its a 2003 disc. i already own a tomtom but is it worth it to buy an upgraded disc to make it better or would i be better of stayin with the tomtom

Stick with the Tomtom :)
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

There's probably 3 lots of two wires - seat belt pre-tensioners, side air bags (if fitted) and seat heaters (if fitted). You should really disconnect the airbag ecu to pull off the pre-tensioers. Have a squint at this: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3902&hilit=+seat+he ... 614#p57514
