d9 indicator stalk

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

I had the exact same problem on my 406 before I sold it, it's very common.

It's called a COM 2000, do a search for COM 2000 and you will find loads of info about it.

Early D9's don't have the COM2000 - it came in around 2001 IIRC
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

But would the COM 2000 work on an early '99 D9 - i.e. can it be retrofitted to a car that did not have one in the first place, and if so, how easy is it to do?
2002 (D9) Peugeot 406 Coupe SE, 2.2 litre Petrol. Scarlet Red/Rouge Ecarlate/Rosso Scarlatto. Black Leather interior. SOLD :(
2008 (E60 LCI) BMW 525i M-Sport, 3.0 litre Petrol. Carbonschwarz Metallic. Black Dakota Leather and Myrtlewood interior.

I think you'd need a similar vintage BSI
... & multiplex wiring

You'd want to fit a com2000 to a car that didn't have one? How about a dmf and a fap while you're at it??

I'd imagine either stick would work, you'd just have some pins left over on the connectors.
