My outside temp since I bought the car use to read 48c or 52c and then '--'
Ive replaced it and its reading more realistic temps now.
Thing is, im not 100% happy.
I thought, since my car is sat in the sun the inside is quiet hot.
So I put the digital climate down to 14c and was expecting it kick in and blast cool air out?
Its on 'auto' and air to face and feet but no matter what temp I set it it doesnt seem to alter the air/fan speed to maintain/decrease/increase cabin temp etc.
When put in defrost it does increase fan speed but doesnt go onto full but I dont mind that, I will manually increase it.
Just wondered if I have to do a 're-sync' procedure or something?
ps. I was driving the car at the time no stationary.

Re: Replace temp probe... but
If you'd just set off, that's correct. It needs to cool down the a/c heat exchanger before blowing hot air over it
Otherwise, I'd suggest a problem with one of the climate control temperature sensors - one in the overhead console and another in one of the footwells (one footwell has a temperature sensor, the other humidity iirc)

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
Re: Replace temp probe... but
I see.
I travelled about 3-4 miles, just popped to the shops.
My A/C does not work anyway
