computer display

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

computer display

Post by stewby »

probably a daft question but the dsisplay on the dash, the computer display bit is really dim, is there a way to turn up the light or is it on its way out, tried the +- button on the clocks but that only controlls the clocks, any help much appreciated, thanks in advance

Never had to do one on a D9 myself but I'm told they're dead easy. Lever out the little panels on either side of the display, undo the 4 torx bolts you reveal and then pull the panel forwards. I think there are 3 bulbs in it, you can get them from any car spares shop or even somewhere like Maplin.

As per above.

I replaced all 3 of mine on my D9 as though might aswell as you can guarantee the other will blow soon after.

Halfords sell them, they are not the cheapest of bulbs but take one with you to halfords and you will see them.

Take the bulb out of the holder though and just compare the bulb

replaced the bulbs but two still dont work , looks like it could be the holders as the working one works in all three, are these available from such as halfords or is it a visit to the main stealers

Yes you can get them in halfrauds, the price is criminal though for such miniscule bulbs :frown:

I got the bulbs in the little holders from the dealers for a small amount of money, dealers are often cheaper than you think and will usually always give you discount too :)
