bsi reset

Hi ive had my battery disconnected now for 3-4weeks decided to redo all earth points fix my lights etc,i was going to do a reset but window is not down so cant get into car without opening door,would disconnecting interior light switch at door before connecting battery up be ok so i can leave door open to do reset?also how many resets can you do will it do any damage with too many? is it a must to follow the bsi reset procedure in that order?cheers

The procedure has to be followed to the letter. There's also sensors in the door locks

If your windows don't work, can you not get a helper to sit in the car?
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

cheers for reply yeh i'll sit in car and get my mate to connect battery up,before i do that i've been around most of my earth points i've done the one on o/s strut,n/s inner wing,main battery neg to inner wing,main battery neg to starter mounting,o/s inner wing beside washer bottle,foot pedals inside car and behind bonnet catch trim where the plugs usually get damp,is there anymore main earth points to look out for would prefer to redo all of them.cheers
