heated seat switches.. wiring up

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

hey guys, got a new job recently, working at French Spares, which is a local vehicle distmantlers, i have found a 406 coupe with electic heater switches for the seats... question is.... how do i wire them up???

im going to see my boss tomorow and get the switches hopefully, just need to know how to wire them in

That won't be a problem (especially if you nicked the connectors off it too), the question is are the connectors there already? They were on my D8...

hmmm, i will be getting the connectors off with them and as much wire as i can pull out without having to remove centre console as full interior still in(tan leather)

when i had a quick look there looked to be a lot of wires!!!

any info would be great

If it's any help i think the heater wires were orange/dark brown, i left them tucked up in there somewhere. when i got the seats in the first place they'd already been chopped from whatever they were connected to before
Former 406 owner, now just another chav in a 306 D turbo!

In fact, have a look at the thread. As I said, if there wires are in your car you're laughing. If not you'll just need to find a live (preferable from the engine run relay), a decent earth and the wires from your donut car.

cheers for help guys, got the switches, and a good length of wiring, but the bottom halfs of the switches are missing, anyone got any knocking around?

need to buy some soon as its bloody cold on my seats in a morning!!
