Hi all,
My central locking gave up the ghost some time ago-works very occasionally in a random manner. The key also hasnt worked in the drivers door for some time. I took to unlocking using the passenger door but now this also has packed in-will just spin in the lock now wheraes before i could manage to make it 'catch'. Have tried WD40 in the locks to no avail!! Is the next step taking the internal door panel off? If i could make the C/L work would this be better?
The key spinning in the lock is an antitheft device, and a right pain in the arse
I think just carry on squirting WD in there, have you got a spare key you can try in it?
You could also try dipping the key in oil and working it in the lock; I've used graphite powder in the past.
