Connects 2 aux input and Clarion PU-2473A(B) RD3 stereo

Anyone know if the Connects 2 CTVPGX010 aux input adaptor works with the Clarion PU-2473A(B) RD3 CD player? It has inputs for a multichanger, but the description for this adaptor only list the following models:

"VDO/Clarion RC200/220/260/280/290 - PU2294/1633 (RD3)"

Does it support all RD3 stereos? Has anyone used these adaptors? I guess the stereo I have is the standard CD player in D9s?

OK I've seen some suggestions that it will work but the headunit and or BSI need to be coded to make it think it has a CD changer connected? Is this true? I currently have no changer.

I'm thinking again about getting one of these adaptors, anyone experience with anything like this? What needs to be reprogrammed?

It plugs into the CD changer slot, so your headunit or BSI needs to be able to accept a CD changer

I believe it has the correct connectors and it has a CD changer button, but is it just going to work if I plug it in? Currently the CD changer button on the stereo does nothing.

OK I've ordered one of these things anyway, will see what happens when I connect it up...

I finally got it after several delays, it worked straight away and sounds pretty much just like the CD input. Putting the stereo back in afterwards was such a pain though - the wiring (the original wiring, not the new cables I ran to the ash tray) kept getting in the way and I couldn't remember what way it was before. I ended up having to use quite a lot of force to push it back in, hope it's not pinching any wires behind...

hello, my radio is same like your, only fiferent is in the last character, mine is PU-2473A(D), and i don't have cd changer. what i must do to make aux input work??

You got the aux input adaptor and connected it? I think I had taken out the fuse for the stereo when I was putting it in, did you try taking out the fuse and putting it back in? It wasn't very clear which fuse it was, i had to try a few before power actually went from the stereo.

i connected it but it doesn't work.. i taken out the fuse from the radio, but nothing.. you think if i take out the fuse from the fuse box it will work? thanks for reply.

Sorry, I meant the fuse in the fuse box. Also it wasn't the more obvious one as stated in the manual, I can't remember which one but I did have to try a few. I think it may have been one on the bottom row...
