clarion front load cd player coding

Post by mrreds406 »

hi i have just aquired a front loading clarion cd player for my 2002 406 as the changer on my old unit has broke

i know these are coded to the car it came out of, spoke to peugeot and was told they would have to email a company for the info costing £20, i then spoke to quiet a large car audio specialist in manchester who said leave it with us overnight and they will code it for me

is this right? and if they do it whats the process for fitting it to my car as they never took a vin number or anything from me.

any info is much appreciated. thanks

It's possible they may have the kit to remove the coding completely, I'd be inclined to get them to test it in the car before handing over my cash tho.
