Sat Nav Disc

Out of curiosity has anyone run a global test on a car with a naffed sat nav?
Mine gave the disc unreadable message so I removed the disc, later I noticed that on a global test it gives an open circuit fault on the sat nav.
This could be due to;
no disc being present
dirty/misaligned laser
or it might just be cream crackered.

I had to change the cd multi-changer when I got the car and suspect water ingress at some point in the cars history

I cannot remove it and all is undone!!! it seems stuck at the rear

There are some small holes in the front of the unit, just push a fine screwdriver in each one and pull the unit when screwdrivers are still pushed in the holes.

You don't have to buy anything, look through your cupboards for some skewers or something. I've used the insides of a biro before, and a broken wire coat hanger.....
