Hi all,
recently my radio reception was getting worse and worse to the point that eventually I could receive no stations. I checked the connection into the back of the stereo and there was lots of white powder/corrosion on it. I've removed as much as I can and it seems nice and clean now but even with a new headunit I cannot receive a single station. Any thoughts without me starting to investigate/replace the whole aerial?

Re: no radio reception
I'd be worried if you had corrosion on the aerial plug going into the radio!
Remove the courtesy light as per viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4463 and do a continuity check between both ends of the coax for starters in case there is a break; if the cable is fine you may need to chop off the aerial connector in the car & remake it or replace the aerial.

Re: no radio reception
yeah I was a little concerned! Also the radio/headunit and cd player had been slowly dying for a while so wasn't surprised. Will check behind the light and go from there, ta
