Well there you good the sound system in my car is every bit as good as the sound system as the sound system in the audi a8

they are all names arent they, sure bang and olufsen is really just philips in a fancy box. Is philips still a big name in car audio?

nah mate philips as nowt to do with bang and olufsen altho theres nowt wrong with philips,

ive been told jbl started off selling cheap stuff for catalogues and then getting cloned into stuff thats top class dont know if thats true tho,

the stereo in my puggy sounds good but ithink iwill be ripping out the speakers if there jbl or not as there sounding abit rattly :|

just got to work out what size the door speakers & the rear speakers are :|

thats why i did the pink grip onto the speaker grilles of my parcel shelf it rattled at high bass, now it doesnt rattle.

The back ones dont rattle in mine,
its the fronts that r the problem or it couid be the doorcards themselves that are rattling imight add some sound deadnin stuff and see :|

they may not be tight, but i actually found i forgot to reconnect the front speakers and i heard a rattle which was the speaker plug.

icouidnt have £900 s worth of audio in my car up here some /theiving tw%t wouid have it away,
ive got some Expensive audio stuff in my Merc/cosworth but that as too stay in my garage with Electric bars going thru the windows of the Garage,

carnt keep anything these days unless its got 240volts protecting it :(

Have you got a mercedes 190e 2.5 24v cosworth, show some pics please, there may be more bmw fans here but im one of the merc fans.

yup its a 1988 cosworth 190e 2.5 its been Dry stored for 8 yrs fired her up last year after it been sat for 7 years 3 turns of the key and it was Alive,

the front springs have finaly gone on it so icarnt move it out of my work shop as yet to work on it,
iwill leave it sat for another 3 years it might be worth a few quid by then,

iwill take some pics for you next time im in my garage/workshop,


ive had 4 mercs up too now youngest was on a 04 plate a c class,

the 190e is a keeper me thinks even tho my wife wants me to Scrap it she hates the 190e (christine its called :lol:

my mum has a merc Xreg

CLK 230 - i think its a 2.3 with supercharger

same as the 1 below but my mums is silver, its a very nice mota

nice clk, but on the subject of the cosworth. My cousin has one, its been sitting out for about 10 years used very little, front bumper has fell off, needs a fuel pump i feel sorry for the car just rotting away but he wont sell me the car, id at least have it in a garage.

you can pick 190e s up for peanuts there not old Enough yet to be Apreciated,
ive scrapped some cars years ago Eg, capri . escort mk1 mk2s and even some marinas and Avengers oh and arover p6 an austi Agro, wished ididnt now looking on how much there worth -hence why im keeping hold of the merc for a few years longer 8)
