a few questions this time
1. if you replace the standard alpin in a d9 with a non standard make ie sony kenwood etc will they work or do they have to be programmed to the car ?
2. are there any other radios that you can fit into the pug 406 that will allow you to use the stalk control and also the digital display in the centre console, if so what models are they and what adaptors are needed
3. can you take an alpine out of 1 406 and whack it into another 406 and will it work ?

do you mean standard Clarion?This can be replaced by any HU given appropriate wiring. Will not work with stalk unless you get the correct adapter. I was told that Alpine do a HU which has an adapter for the stalk and another for the display. Unit cost 250 adapters 50 ea....If you put an original Clarion unit (post 1999) into another Pug it'll need to be set to the new vehicle otherwise it emits a very load beep every few seconds. Peugeot main dealers want about ?50 for this...
