No, it should increase the volume with road speed.

You should be able to change it with the buttons above / below the one you selected the option with. :?

Try removing the permanent supply from the head unit to reset it?

Ive always found it a gimmick.
Even with the casette player it never made much of a difference. It was the same in my dads car, and the new hilux.

Well, awkward is that i have the cassette player and CD changer in the boot but my auto volume doesn't work too ... strange thing because all of them have it , i even saw in the peugeot planet that it doesn't work/have/or is disabled this function, i didn't had the time to go deeper into this , but here it goes :

13 - 3 - AUDIO SYSTEMS

New RM2 model radio, made by CLARION with cassette player in the front panel .

New RD2 model radio, made by CLARION with CD player in the front panel .

This audio equipment is fitted with the automatic speed-related volume adjustment function .

These audios are able to run a cd player .

In service, the audio equipment and the multifunction display (B or C) must be configured using the DIAG 2000 (This function will become available during the course of the year) .

The amplifier JBL is available as an option on estate versions .

The role of the audio system amplifier is to give better reception and sound quality .

The amplifier JBL is secured to the satellite navigation system ecu support .

This was taken from a technical CD from peugeot ...

idunno tbh mate,
Maybe if youve had an aftermarket stereo fitted it may have took some of the quality off the speakers,
the ones in mine are Harman not jbl but spose there the same make Kardon,
but as far as ican see there only rated 30 wat ish so some aftermarket stuff wouid loosen them up abit,

Maybe its just a case of getting used to the sound of the original stereo again ,

Im really planning to put the original one back in, just need to spray it the same colour as the rest of the dash first, i remember the sound quality was much much better, and the volume could go into the AAAAHHHHHHHH MY EARS ARE BLEEDING loudness at about 20, now i can listen to 30 ie max and its quite bearable.

Ihave mine on full bass loudness function on,
they dont rattle sounds pretty good one of the reasons why im leaving it as it is,
if ithrow a aftermarket one in itl never sound the same,

ijust need a cd changer im getting fed up with key 103

That was the thing this is the new radio, bass treble and loudness and volume at full whack is still only half as good as the old radio with none of the options on at 20.
I used to keep it 10 with just the loud thing on, it was really good, especially with classic fm, pavorotti is a good test for a sound system he soon finds any rattles.
