Navteq GPS CD

Post by rlees85 »

Hi

I am asking for a friend, who has a 406 Saloon with the GPS built in. The CD he has seems to have got a load of bad sectors on it and can't read all of the CD. Just wondering if anyone else has this CD and could send us a copy so I can replace the corrupt files?

Yes I am fully aware this will probably get closed but I am not asking for free updates or something just to replace something that once was.....! Google isnt turning up much either :/

Cheers!

Has your friend tried getting in touch with Navtec/Peugeot? Presumably if it is a genuine CD-ROM then you ought to be able to get a repeat copy without charge if you have serial number/VIN number, etc? :)

Also, Navteq continue to sell their 2006 (final version) discs for our cars at about £80 plus VAT. £80 is about as much as the entry-level TomTom, and at least the TomTom is guaranteed to be pretty much up-to-date for a whole year after you buy it (afterwards its annual subscriptions).
