Standard fit clarion

Post by sawarren88 »

Hi All, New to the 406 fraternity . Just aquired a 2001 2.0 HDi (90) L spec fitted with the standard clarion radio/cd.

Just put cd in for first time - played ok - then stopped car and restarted it about 15 mins later - display came up cd but found no tracks. Pressed eject - whirring and clicking sound but cd will not come out. Any suggestions- I assume its a removal from the dashboard job.

Thanks for any help

Every tray-loading optical drive I've ever come across has a small hole on the front you can stick a bent paperclip through to mechanically eject the disc. Dunno about slot loaders, but it'd be worth having a look.

I once helped a family friend out who had a similar problem. With her, it turned out to be she'd put 2 CDs in the drive. Had the same symptoms.

When I told her, she said she thought it was like her father's VW, which has got an in-dash changer.

I had to take the top off it to get the CDs out.
