Ok, bit of a random one.

When I got my executive, it came with a really nasty cheap CD player.

I am now wondering whether to go for a decent aftermarket one, or do I get a standard one to keep the JBL amp that was factory fitted, or would I be better upgrading everything?

Depends on what you want & the quality of the gear you use, the JBL stuff in the execs is pretty good but not a patch on Alpine for example.
But you will need to upgrade the speakers & wires to realy benifit .
