if its a D9
the radio is coded to bsi.

so you wont loose the code...or need to re-input one.

I've had the radio in and out of my D9 plenty of times, as well as had the battery disconnected. In either case, you'll only lose your radio presets and sound settings (and the time/date etc. with the battery disconnected).

Honestly, if I were you, I would skip the CDs entirely and get one of the AUX in adapters that plug into the CD changer port on your radio. I've been extremely happy with one of those combined with a cheap Chinese MP3 player for fixed installation. I have it in place of the ashtray, which I never used anyway.

It depends slightly on whether your car is semi-mux or full mux, and which particular model radio you have.

If your 406 is a 2002 or later, this should do the trick: http://www.incaremporium.com/connects2- ... riudriccs0

You could always go a bit 'old school' and fit the clarion 6 cd changer in the boot.......

If you can find a functional unit, that is :P

As fair as I know, they're not exactly the most reliable of players.

Oh I don't know, mine is good and I have 5 spare cartridges full of CDs so I can do a quick swap....

It has now been swapped for a USB/SD card Connects2.
