Aftermarket head unit

Post by djsteve »

hello all, first post here

just bought my first 406 (a 110 hdi estate glx model) which has all the integrated satnav etc (just the mono nav nothing more advanced) and im wondering if the satnav system works through the stereo at all as i would be looking to change the stock head unit for an aftermarket one if possible, not worried about loosing any voice navigation but if the nav will stop working entirely i cant do so of course, also will a standard double din HU fit without much modification

Cant comment on the sat nav I don't have it fitted but a double din wont fit without alot of modifying there's a post somewhere a long time ago someone had done it. Also check the wiring of the iso block on the new head unit as ive noticed to of mine draw one of the 12v of the bsi, the pinouts are in the owners book if you have one.

There are a few people on the Coupe club ( www.406coupeclub.org ) that have done a double DIN conversion, or installed some sort of tablet thingy - looks great but not plain sailing.

Hi! I bought Yatour a week ago. Enabled CD changer in PP2000 at my main dealer's and I am very happy with result. I have CD quality sound, and 6 virtual CDs with max 99 tracks on each CD. Can only recommend! 8)

I have the Connects2 equivalent, inserted into the centre console - so much better than the 6 disc changer in the boot.
